I’m still camping out in the desert southwest, enjoying the sunshine and staying warm. ?☀️
That is, of course, the biggest advantage to living in an RV. It’s easy to travel with the weather or my whims of the moment. The other big advantage is that when I’m boondocking like this in the middle of nowhere, it leads to loads of uninterrupted quiet time, perfect for writing and editing.
During the days, I mostly work and hike. And at night, it’s totally quiet except for the occasional sound of coyotes. I love it when they get going. ?
The latest book projects
Here’s what’s going on now:
- Book 1, Deadly Little Angel, launched last month on Amazon, and is available in both ebook and paperback. ?? If you haven’t read it yet, please check it out.
- Book 2, Signs of Foul Play, is in revisions. Doing this while camping in an isolated patch of desert is perfect! It’s easy to get my head fully into the story, without other obligations and commitments, which is ideal for this kind of work. I’ll be sending it off to the editor in early April. Progress! ?
- And next up? I have a lot of ideas percolating for the next book in the series, but it’s just simmering on the back burner until I get Signs off to the editor. I’m getting excited about the possibilities, though! This is always a fun part of the process — all options are open! ?
And all the rest…
- The newsletter system is up and running, which is great to see. I’ve still got more work to do on it, but that will probably be true forever! Same for the website, but I’m calling that done for now. Does anybody really want to see that “About Us” page?? I bet I can live without it a bit longer! ?
Cheers from my little plot of desert! ?
